The Death of the Dream

The American Dream is dead. After 250 years of this experiment, which we call the United States of America, the dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is dead for the working class. The reality in which we live, work, grow, raise families, and try to eek out some slice of joy is one of extreme divides in privilege, and opportunity. Our economy is based on an underpaid and over-exploited working class whose access to limited, unreliable, and deficient resources is being stripped away, layer by layer, as the days go on. At this rate, the coveted midterm elections, that the Democrats hold so close to their vapid and vacant hearts, will be a mirror of everything going on today. A charade of virtual signaling, incompetence, and complicity.

When Dreams Die, Life Continues

Sugar coating an optimistic and equitable future seems irresponsible. The reality we're in deserves to be addressed with more transparency and clarity. While the old dream may be dead, a new dream can be manifested. Instead of holding onto the past, we can learn from it and our current situation. What we need, and ultimately want deep down inside, is community and support. Community to give us a true place of belonging and a reason to pursue life. Support from this community to actually achieve this future, and to help us when we're down. Together, we can make this a reality.

July Events

Trans Liberation Rally

FLX Beacon is planning an emergency Trans Liberation Rally in direct response to the Supreme Court's radical anti-trans decision and the genocidal agenda it serves.

The details are still being finalized, but is planned for 7 PM, July 9th @ City Hall in Geneva, NY

FLPU Heads to Cuba

FLPU is working with the IFCO to bring Humanitarian Aid down to Cuba. We raised funds for a large shipment to be delivered to the island. In August, I will be headed to Cuba, with a delegation, to deliver more aid and to learn from the people. I'm looking to bring an additional 50-100 lbs (1-2 checked bags) of aid with me to leave with the people of Cuba. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please reach out and we can discuss how.

Anti-Tenney
Yard Signs

My health has set my timeline back a bit, but the first batch of signs is almost done. There has been some interest in posting the signs which is great! If you're interested in having a sign, or many signs, please fill out this form so we can arrange logistics. If you've already filled out the form, you don't have to again.
The signs are white with red lettering. One side reads: "DROP TENNEY" & the other side: "TENNEY - BAD FOR NY-24"

The Future, Together

Our goals have a cost. Commitment, effort, and empathy. I don't believe anyone has to, or can be, 100% in at all times. I don't ask that of anyone. I do know that any little effort counts, and when all the bits and bursts of effort add up, a wave of progress is formed. We just need to maintain the wave and try to make it bigger. We'll get there. We just need to keep going forward.

Stay well and talk soon,
Ben
